Beaded Door Curtains

Beaded Door Curtains For a Range of Applications

Beaded Door Curtains - Hawaiian Hula Wahine Tiki Bamboo Single Panel Room Divider
A fantastic item for introducing a relaxed and casual feel to your living space Beaded Door Curtains are not just for doorways! Having been created as a functional screen to reduce harsh light, discourage insects and help air movement, Beaded Door Curtains still continue to perform these functions brilliantly but there are a number of other creative ways that these decor items can be introduced into your interior space. One use is as a room partition.

Screen an unsightly laundry area, or a workspace, separate a dining and living area. I'm sure you can think of others.

A beaded door screen can be used as a wall feature. Simply suspend from a hook or two on a large, blank wall, they can be positioned in such a way that they dominate a vertical space or placed behind a low cabinet to extend to the ceiling height.

Can't you almost smell the heady fragrance?

The Bookcase Beaded Curtain disguises a doorway or section of wall and gives the appearance of an actual bookcase.

This is particualarly effective when hung in a doorway as the door frame will look exactly like the outer casing of a bookcase.

Hide an ugly utility room or give an accent to a bare wall and give the impression of a well-read home.

Throw Another Prawn On The Barbie - Because It's Not Just About Cooking Meat

Ideas for Barbecued King Prawns
Australians love a barbie! Let's face it our climate is perfectly suited to outdoor living and the barbecue is an essential component of that lifestyle. In days gone by (some feel those days are best forgotten) the suburban Aussie's idea of a barbie consisted of scorching a T-bone steak to within a hair's breadth of cremation and adding some burnt sausages to complete the feast. These days we like to think we are a lot more sophisticated than that and blokes (def: (n), australian male) will proudly marinate and prepare all manner of culinary fare in their outdoor kitchen.

Prawns : Shrimps; Shrimps : Prawns

A Prawn By Any Other Name Is Still A Prawn

Ideas for Barbecued King Prawns
Prawns and barbecues make a perfect marriage. As Paul Hogan once said, “so come on over and we’ll slip another shrimp on the barbie for ya”. Of course, he was adopting American terminology for what Aussies have always referred to as prawns, just so there’d be no confusion. Prawns not only suit barbecuing to a tee, they also marry well with numerous flavours but arguably some of our favourites would have to include, garlic, chilli and fresh coriander (cilantro).

“Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sautee it. There’s, um, shrimp kebabs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir fried. There’s pineapple shrimp and lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich… That’s, that’s about it.” Mykelti Williamson (American Actor, b.1960)
Character: Bubba Blue Movie: Forrest Gump

Put Another Shrimp On The Barbie!

Come and say "G-day!"

This is how we sold Australia to the US back in 1984

Excerpt from Wikipedia:- “Shrimp on the barbie” is an often-quoted phrase that originated in a series of television advertisements by the Australian Tourism Commission starring Paul Hogan from 1984 through to 1990.[1][2] The actual quote spoken by Hogan is “I’ll slip an extra shrimp on the barbie for you”, and the actual slogan of the ad was “Come and say G’day”. It has since been used, along with some variations, to make reference to Australia in popular culture. Read the full article

The video was a perfect wrap up for your recipes. I remember those ads. I've also had the overcooked steak at some of the barbies I attended during my 3 years in Alice Springs. Glad to hear that grilling has become more gourmet since then.
